Beyond his professional roles, Matthew’s true passion lies in creating and nurturing teams that make a positive impact. At Southern Cross Service Dogs, he has built a team dedicated to helping veterans regain independence and a sense of companionship through service dogs. ABOUT MATTHEW

His early career started at IBM Global Services, where he spent 13 years as a Lotus Notes Architect, honing his skills in team leadership and project management. Following IBM, Matthew moved to MetLife in 2007, taking on the role of Application Development Manager. For nearly seven years, he was instrumental in leading development projects and fostering a strong team culture.

In 2021, Matthew transitioned to the non-profit sector to realize a dream he didn’t even know he had – leading a team at Southern Cross Service Dogs. Today, he spearheads a dedicated team that trains and provides service dogs to veterans, transforming lives and making a difference in the community. Matthew’s leadership style, passion for service, and commitment to our mission embody the spirit of Southern Cross Service Dogs.
